theScore | Direct messaging sunset notice
After careful consideration and analysis of user feedback, we have decided to sunset direct messaging and group messaging within theScore Media app. This decision was not made lightly, but we believe it will help us narrow our focus on other areas of our app that users value more.
In 2024, theScore will be sunsetting direct messaging and group messaging. We will provide a firm date for sunset in the coming weeks.
What does this mean for you?
Direct Messaging will no longer be available on our platform. Any ongoing conversations will be discontinued, and you will not be able to send or receive direct messages anymore.
Your existing message history will not be archived, and you will no longer have access to this information through our app. We recommend saving any important information from your messages before the sunset date or reaching out to our Customer Support teams with any concerns.
Alternative ways to connect with fans within theScore:
While we are sunsetting Direct Messaging, we understand the importance of communication for our users. Here are some alternative methods you can use to stay connected:
- Article Comments: Engage with other users in articles with commenting enabled — there will be a slew of enhancements in this area so keep an eye out for updates here!
- Game-day chats: Majority of matchups within theScore will continue to have chat enabled which you can use to engage with other fans.
- We are actively working on new and exciting features to connect fans and will announce those as soon as they are ready
How can we assist you during this transition?
If you have any questions or concerns regarding the sunsetting of Direct Messaging, please don't hesitate to reach out to our support team at support@thescore.com. We are committed to ensuring a smooth transition for all our users.
